Same As It Ever Was

I was really looking forward to this evening, but things turned out badly. They were not willing to pay us even though they had booked us. Bastards!

Spiritual Grafitti

The name for this next album just came me and made sense, but as I began to work on it I realized I had to understand more about what that meant.

After running the words through Visual Thesaurus I came up with the following definition.

A Spectral Decoration.

The trick right now is to find time to work on the album and get ready for the mover at the same time, not to mention practice

Playing What You Know

Going through the RoadShow music archives and the archives before that some things, which I already knew, have become glaringly apparent. 1) I Rush 2) I play sloppy, but I have great ideas.

I have an idea to combine the ideas of Jordan Rudess and Kenny Werner which I am hoping will work out.

I only have a week to try it out with Lewis before our next recording which could be our last for a while.

If nothing else it will prove interesting.

Spiritual Grafitti the Begginning

Tommorow percussionist Lewis Gilham is coming over, finally, to work on some new tracks. I have wanted to work with him on some new stuff ever since 2006's "Ball Point Machine Guns."

Getting Ready For Lewis-An Experiment in Musical Spirituality

Ahead of the beat, that is where I always play, It has been my curse my whole life. The only person who has ever given me any decent advice about that subject was jazz pianist/educator Kenny Werner.

Harley Dude dropped off the radar for a while, but then seddunly I was driving through Taft on my way to the whop de doos on SR58.

Sure enough, a good sign, the volksagen and the Harly were both there!

Goodbye Harley Dude

Some of you may recall that when we first started the Road Show Motorcycle Podcast, at the time it was called "The Harley Dude and BMWeerman Road Show."

Well before we make the big move to New Mexico I wanted to get together with HD for some music making one more time.

Here are some pictures of the prepeartions.

In having just a week to prepare for these sessions, the temptation is to try and throw everything and the kitchen sink in. I have had to really dig deep into my spirituality to come up with the non-alcoholic, doable answer.

Just the outline of 3 tunes
